SessionWatcher apps
SessionWatcher reads usage totals, rate-limit windows, reset times, and related statistics from AI tools you have configured. Your code and conversations are not read or collected by SessionWatcher.
iCloud sync
If you use the iPhone companion, the Mac app can place usage summaries, enabled-provider names, a Mac display name, and license status in your private iCloud key-value store. Apple operates iCloud. SessionWatcher cannot access that private store. You can stop new mirroring by disabling the iCloud companion features on your devices.
Direct updates on iPhone are an optional Pro feature and remain disabled until you enable an individual provider. When enabled, the Mac copies that provider credential through iCloud Keychain so the iPhone can contact the provider directly. The credential is not sent to SessionWatcher servers. Turning the provider off removes the staged credential copy.
License information
To validate a license, the Mac app sends the license key and limited app or device information to the SessionWatcher licensing service. The purchase email, plan, status, and expiry may be returned and displayed in the Mac app, and the Mac can share them with your iPhone through your private iCloud account. The iPhone app does not accept license keys and does not contact the licensing service. We use this information only to provide licensing, prevent misuse, support customers, and maintain transaction records.
Emails
We send emails about your purchase and licence, such as your licence key, receipts and support replies. If you bought SessionWatcher, we may also email you occasionally about updates and offers related to SessionWatcher. Every such email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and replying "unsubscribe" works too. Emails are sent through Resend, which processes your email address only to deliver the message. If you unsubscribe, we keep a one-way hash of your address so we never email you marketing again.
Free trial
When the app starts its free trial, it sends a random device identifier, the app version and the operating system version to our licensing service, so each device gets one trial and can switch to a licence later. The trial does not ask for your name, email or payment details.
Provider requests and notifications
When direct updates are enabled, the iPhone contacts the selected AI provider using its own network connection. Those requests are governed by that provider's privacy policy. Usage alerts are generated on your device and use Apple's notification services.
What the website collects
If you sign up for limit-change alerts, we store your email address, the tools you picked, the page you signed up on and a hashed IP address (for abuse limits), and send one confirmation email through Resend. Alerts go only to confirmed addresses. Unsubscribing deletes your address; unconfirmed signups are deleted after 30 days.
This website uses privacy-respecting analytics (DataFast, Microsoft Clarity) to understand traffic patterns. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. These providers process data under their own privacy terms. We do not sell personal data or use app data for cross-app tracking. When you click a download link on this website, we store a salted, one-way hash of your network address for up to 7 days, to learn which page led to a trial. We never store the address itself, and the hash cannot be turned back into it.
If you ask on your phone for the download link by email, we store your email address, the computer you chose, the page you asked from and a hashed IP address (for abuse limits), send that one email through Resend, note whether a download link in it was opened, and delete the request after 90 days.
Retention and your choices
Local app data remains on your devices until you remove it or uninstall the app. License and transaction records are retained while needed to provide purchases, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, and handle support. You can disable iCloud sync and each direct provider in the iPhone app's Settings. To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information held by SessionWatcher, email us. Some transaction records may need to be retained when required by law.
Security
Network requests use encrypted HTTPS connections. Provider credentials staged for the iPhone are kept in the Apple Keychain. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we limit the data used to what the feature needs.
