You add them the normal way: right-click the desktop, choose Edit Widgets, pick SessionWatcher, and drag the size you want. The menu bar app keeps running independently, so a widget is an addition to the menu bar reading rather than a replacement for it.

SessionWatcher runs on macOS 14 (Sonoma) and later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel, and it is signed and notarized by Apple. Desktop widgets arrived in Sonoma, so any Mac that meets the app requirement can place them. Widgets are Mac-only: SessionWatcher also runs on Windows 10 (version 2004) or later and Windows 11, where your usage lives in or beside the taskbar and there are no desktop widgets.
