Claude artifact promotion: 50% off session-limit usage ends October 15
After Claude creates or edits an artifact in Claude or Claude Cowork, some of the work that follows uses 50% less of the five-hour session limit. The promotion started October 1 on Pro, Max and Team, and Free plans were added October 7. It ends October 15 at 11:59 PM PT. Claude Code and Enterprise plans are excluded.

What changed and for which plans
Anthropic is running a limited-time artifact promotion in Claude and Claude Cowork. After Claude creates or edits an artifact, some of the work that follows uses 50% less of your five-hour session limit. Your weekly usage limit does not change. The discount applies automatically on eligible plans, and there is no code or setting to turn on.
Pro, Max and Team plans have been eligible since October 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM PT. On October 7, Anthropic updated the article to add Free plans, which are eligible from October 7 at 10:00 AM PT. Usage on Free plans before October 7 is not discounted. For all plans, the promotion ends on October 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. All Enterprise plans are excluded, both seat-based and usage-based. Anthropic says it may change or end the promotion early.
How the discount works in chats
The discount covers chats in Claude on web, desktop and mobile. When Claude creates or edits an artifact in a chat, the next 10 messages in that chat use 50% less of the session limit. After those 10 messages, the standard rate applies until Claude creates or edits an artifact in that chat again. Each reply also has a cap. Claude works in steps, such as running a search, using a tool or updating the artifact, and only up to the first 15 steps of a reply can be discounted.
If you start a new chat by choosing Document, Presentation or Design from the Output menu, the discount applies from your first message. If you ask for an artifact partway through a regular chat, the message where Claude first creates it counts at the standard rate. Your next 10 messages are then discounted.
How it works in Claude Cowork
In Claude Cowork, only tasks that run in the cloud are covered, not tasks that run locally in Claude Desktop. If you start a task by choosing Document, Presentation or Design from the Output menu, about the first 45 minutes are discounted. In any other cloud task, including tasks moved into a Workspace, up to the next 80 steps after Claude creates or edits an artifact can be discounted. Creating or editing another artifact restarts the discount.
What the promotion does not cover
The promotion does not apply to Claude Code, the Claude API, Claude in Slack, Cowork tasks that run locally on desktop, or scheduled or unattended tasks. It also excludes artifacts made with the earlier version of artifacts and Google Docs, Sheets or Slides made through the Google Drive connector. Work in the standalone Claude Design app is excluded too, but designs made in Claude through the Output menu are included. Messages that use usage credits are billed at the standard rate.
