Claude's Help Center article on the Claude Code May to August 2026 weekly limits promotion says the temporary boost has ended and part of it is now permanent. Starting September 14, 2026, weekly limits in Claude Code are 25% higher than they were before the promotion. This applies to the Pro, Max, Ultra, Team and seat-based Enterprise plans.
The article says Anthropic had planned to return weekly limits to their original levels. It kept part of the boost because many users found the extra usage helpful.

What the promotion was
From May 13, 2026 through September 13, 2026, the weekly usage limit in Claude Code was 50% higher. The terms say the offer was valid until 11:59 PM PT on September 13. It applied automatically to Pro, Max and Team plans and to legacy seat-based users on Enterprise plans. Free plans and consumption-based Enterprise seats were excluded.
The boost covered Claude Code everywhere it runs: the CLI, IDE extensions, desktop and the web. Usage limits for other Claude products, such as Claude on web, desktop and mobile and Claude Cowork, did not change. The 5-hour usage limits were not affected by the promotion.

What it means for your usage
If you use Claude Code on one of the listed plans, your weekly limit is now 25% above its pre-promotion level. That is half of the 50% boost you had from May 13 to September 13, so a week of heavy use that fit during the promotion may now hit the weekly limit sooner.
The Help Center article does not say whether the permanent increase changes the 5-hour limit or limits in other Claude products. It only describes the weekly limit in Claude Code. According to the article, running /usage in the Claude Code CLI showed the updated limits during the promotion.
