What OpenAI listed for Day 12
OpenAI's thread for its 28-day Codex and Work campaign, checked on October 17, 2026, now lists two Day 12 items. Day 12.1 is an upgraded GPT-6 Astra Pro. Day 12.2 is "Increased effective usage in Codex and ChatGPT Work."
The thread gives only these headlines and a link to a post on X. It does not say how much usage increased, which plans get the increase, when it took effect or whether it is permanent. It also does not say what changed in GPT-6 Astra Pro.

Auto-review does not count against plan usage
The same update adds details for Day 2. Auto-review is now free for everyone signed in with a ChatGPT account. You can turn it on in Settings under Permissions. It adds a second agent that reviews the primary agent's actions, and its job is limited to stopping high-risk actions and anything that does not match your original request.
OpenAI says Auto-review also does not count against your plan usage. This detail first appeared in the latest update to the thread.

How the campaign works
OpenAI says each day of the campaign brings one clear improvement for most Codex or Work users. On days without one, everyone gets a full reset instead, and some days bring both. Earlier entries include a rate-limit reset for everyone on Day 2.5, a banked reset for all paid accounts on Day 3.1, and resets on Days 6, 8 and 10.
OpenAI says it will keep the thread updated each day.
