Gemini 4 Argon API price rises to $4 and $20 per million tokens after November 30

Introductory API price ends November 30

Google launched Gemini 4 Argon on October 13, 2026. The launch post sets an introductory API price of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input tokens at 95% off.

A footnote gives the end date. When the introductory period expires on November 30, 2026, the price becomes $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens, which doubles both rates. The footnote says this applies only to the Argon model intended for public access. The post does not say whether the 95% cached-input discount continues after November 30.

Which plans and tools get Argon

Developers can use Argon through the Gemini API paid tier in AI Studio and Android Studio. Google AI Ultra subscribers can also try it in Google Antigravity and AI Studio. Enterprises can use it in Gemini for business, the API and Google Antigravity. In the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search, it is available to Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers.

Through the Gemini API, Argon has a 1M unified input-output token limit, and Google points developers to its documentation for a new continuation protocol. The post does not say how Argon counts against usage limits in Antigravity or the Gemini app.
