GitHub Copilot adds Claude Opus 5.5, GPT-6 Sol and other models
GitHub says Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Sol are available to Copilot Pro+, Max, Business and Enterprise plans. GPT-6 Luna and Grok 4.7 are also available, with Pro added to their listed plans. The Copilot app also adds local sandboxing in public preview.

Four models added to Copilot
GitHub’s September 25 Copilot weekly release lists four models and the plans that can access them. Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Sol are available to Copilot Pro+, Max, Business and Enterprise plans. GPT-6 Luna and Grok 4.7 are available to Pro, Pro+, Max, Business and Enterprise plans.
The announcement does not specify additional pricing or usage-limit details for these models. It also does not state that the models are available on Copilot Free.

Copilot app adds local sandboxing preview
The Copilot app can now limit agents’ access to files, networks and credentials using local sandboxing, which GitHub says is in public preview. This is a separate app capability from the model availability changes.
GitHub also says agent activity can be tracked in existing monitoring tools with OpenTelemetry, configured through enterprise-managed settings. The release does not give a pricing or usage-limit change for either app feature.
