Alternative model access depends on settings

GitHub says the suggested alternatives are automatically enabled for Copilot Enterprise and Business customers under default model enablement, unless an administrator has turned off the global default or explicitly disabled the model. If the global default is off, administrators can enable alternatives through model policies in Copilot settings.

After enablement, users will see the models in the Copilot Chat model selector in supported experiences. GitHub says no action is required to remove models after their deprecation.
