Devin pricing: Free, Pro, Max, Teams and Enterprise
Devin has a free plan; Pro costs $20 a month and Max $200 a month, each for one user. Teams has an $80 monthly minimum, with full seats at $40 a month each, for up to 200 users, and Enterprise is quoted by Cognition's sales team. Pro gets a daily and a weekly quota, Max a much larger weekly quota with no daily cap. Past the quota you spend prepaid on-demand credits at API pricing, and those never expire.
ACUs appear only on Enterprise order forms: the self-serve plans are measured in quota and credits.

What the free plan includes
A light quota for coding with agents, a limited set of models, and unlimited inline edits and Tab completions. Cloud agents (Devin Cloud) and the full model list start on Pro. Cognition shows no annual prices and no trial on its pricing page.
Devin Pro vs Max: what $180 more buys
Quota and nothing else that matters day to day. Pro, at $20, has a daily quota and a weekly quota, both shared across Devin sessions, the Devin CLI and Devin Desktop, with full model availability (Cognition lists frontier models from "OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and SpaceXAI" and leading open source ones), plus free use of SWE-2, Cognition's own model. Max, at $200, keeps everything in Pro and gives what Cognition calls significantly higher quotas: a weekly quota only, with no daily cap. Cognition does not say how many times Pro's usage that is.
The daily cap is the practical difference. On Pro a long session can stop for the day while the week still has room; on Max nothing stops a heavy day, only the week. Someone who hits Pro's daily cap now and then can top up with credits; someone who also runs out of the week is who Max is priced for.
How much does Devin Teams cost?
The pricing page puts it as $80 a month for the team plan plus $40 a month per full dev seat. The billing docs explain how those combine: $80 is a monthly minimum, covered by full seats or by prepaid credits, so two full seats come to $80 and each seat after that adds $40. We quote the docs' table:
| Team | Monthly bill | What it pays for |
|---|---|---|
| No full seats | $80 | $80 of on-demand credits |
| 1 full seat | $80 | $40 seat and $40 of credits |
| 2 full seats | $80 | Two $40 seats |
| 3 full seats | $120 | Three $40 seats |
| 10 full seats | $400 | Ten $40 seats |
The ten-seat line is our arithmetic from the docs' rule. A full seat gets the same daily and weekly quota as Pro and access to Devin Desktop. A flex seat is free: it has no quota of its own, draws only on the team's shared on-demand credits, and has no Devin Desktop. Admins switch members between the two under Settings > Members. Teams adds centralized billing, an admin dashboard with analytics and priority support.
What happens when you run out: on-demand credits
Pro, Max and Teams can keep working past the quota with on-demand credits, prepaid usage that Cognition says is consumed at API pricing. Purchased credits roll over month to month and never expire. Cognition publishes no dollar value per credit or per message: the cost of a message depends on the model, the size and complexity of the task and the reasoning it needs. Smaller models such as Haiku, GPT 5.2 Mini or Kimi K2.5 make a quota last longer.
Per the usage docs, what Devin spends is mostly the number and complexity of its actions, plus virtual machine time, which is usually a small share. Windows sessions cost about 9% more than the same work on Linux; macOS sessions cost the same as Linux for now, which Cognition calls promotional launch pricing. Nothing is consumed while Devin waits for your reply, for a test suite or for a repository to clone, and an idle session goes to sleep after five minutes (30 on Windows or GPU machines).
What is a Devin ACU, and what does it cost?
An ACU, or Agent Compute Unit, is how Enterprise customers are billed, at the rate on their order form. Cognition says Enterprise ACUs are distinct from the self-serve quota and on-demand credits, and it publishes no public price for one. Admins cap ACU spend with budgets, which block new work once they are reached. A per-ACU price quoted elsewhere for a Pro or Teams plan does not match Cognition's current pages. Enterprise also brings SAML or OIDC single sign-on, deployment in your own cloud (VPC) and a dedicated account manager.
Pay for GPT models with your ChatGPT plan
On Pro, Max and Teams, token sharing lets a personal ChatGPT Go, Plus or Pro plan pay for GPT model requests, so they stop counting against your Devin quota. Connect it under Settings > Connections and turn on Use your ChatGPT plan. It does not work with ChatGPT Free or with Business, Team or Enterprise workspaces, nor on Devin Free or Enterprise. Other models, Fast and priority GPT variants, Devin Cloud machine time and code scans still draw on Devin. If you already pay for ChatGPT, what Codex costs on those plans is the other half of the sum.
Seeing your Devin quota before it runs out
Devin shows the current month's usage, the quota remaining and your on-demand credit balance under Settings > Usage & limits in the web app, when you go and look. SessionWatcher keeps it in the Mac menu bar or the Windows taskbar instead: the daily and weekly quota as a share used, the time each one resets, and your extra usage balance in dollars, read with the Devin CLI or app sign-in you already have. It is part of SessionWatcher Pro. How the two readings compare is in how to check Devin usage, and the other ways to track it are in the best Devin usage trackers.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Devin cost?
Devin has a free plan. Pro is $20 a month and Max is $200 a month, each for one user. Teams starts at $80 a month, with full seats at $40 a month each, for up to 200 users. Enterprise is priced by Cognition's sales team. Prices checked on devin.ai on 6 November 2026.
Is Devin free?
There is a free plan with a light quota, limited models, unlimited inline edits and unlimited Tab completions. Cloud agents (Devin Cloud) and every model start on Pro.
What is the difference between Devin Pro and Max?
Quota. Pro has a daily and a weekly quota; Max has a significantly higher weekly quota and no daily cap. Both are for a single user and both can buy extra usage once the quota runs out.
What is a Devin ACU?
An Agent Compute Unit is how Enterprise contracts measure Devin's work, priced on each customer's order form. Free, Pro, Max and Teams do not use the term: they have a usage quota, and on-demand credits for work past it.
How much does Devin extra usage cost?
Past the quota, Pro, Max and Teams spend prepaid on-demand credits, which Cognition says are consumed at API pricing. Purchased credits roll over month to month and never expire. Cognition does not publish a dollar value per credit or per message, because cost varies with the model, the size of the task and the reasoning it needs.
Can I use my ChatGPT plan with Devin?
Yes, for GPT models. On Devin Pro, Max or Teams you can connect a personal ChatGPT Go, Plus or Pro plan in Settings > Connections, and GPT requests then stop counting against your Devin quota. Other models, Fast GPT variants and Devin Cloud machine time still use Devin's quota.
