Claude's Help Center article on the Ultra plan, updated October 30, 2026, says the Max 20x plan is now called the Ultra plan. Existing Max 20x subscribers move to Ultra automatically, with no price change.

Price and billing

Ultra is $200 per month. That price is for web subscriptions only, and the article says mobile pricing may vary depending on your app platform. Ultra is currently available as a monthly subscription only.

If you move from an annual Pro plan and the remaining balance is greater than the Ultra price, you receive an account credit for the remaining balance, applied to future subscription costs. The billing address on Ultra must match the one on your previous subscription. If your address has changed, you need to cancel Pro and wait for the subscription end date before signing up for Ultra with the new address.

On Google Play, you are charged the full price of the new plan when you upgrade. The unused value of your previous plan becomes extra days on the new plan, so your renewal date lands a few days later than a full month.

What it means for your usage

Ultra includes 10 times the Pro plan's usage every week. Two weekly limits apply: one across all models and a separate one for Fable. Verified accounts have no five-hour limit, so the weekly limits are the ones they work within.

Anthropic says additional limits may apply to manage capacity and ensure fair access, such as weekly and monthly caps or limits on model and feature usage, at its discretion. If you have a limit reset, you can use it to bring your weekly usage limits back to full.

Verified accounts and how to check yours

Anthropic verifies Ultra accounts automatically, using factors like account and payment history. Until an account is verified, a temporary limit applies. It is removed automatically once verification happens, so there is nothing you need to do. Verifying your phone number at checkout is a separate step and does not remove this limit.

To check your status, open Settings and go to Usage. If you don't see a Current session bar, your account is verified.

What else the plan includes

The article lists access to Claude Code under the same subscription, monthly credits for the Claude API, and priority access to new models, features and products. It does not state the credit amount and links to a separate article on monthly API credits for Max, Ultra and Team plans.
