Claude Ultra plan is $200 a month with 10x Pro weekly usage; Max is $100

What the Claude pricing page lists for Max and Ultra

As of October 31, 2026, Claude's pricing page lists four individual plans: Free, Pro, Max and Ultra. Ultra costs $200 per month. It includes everything in Max, plus no 5-hour limit, 10x Pro usage every week and $200 a month in API credits. The no 5-hour limit applies to verified accounts.

Max is listed at $100 per month with 5x Pro usage every 5 hours and every week, plus $100 a month in API credits to build on the Claude Platform. The FAQ says Max and Ultra are both billed monthly. Pro costs $20 if billed monthly, or $17 per month with the annual discount, billed up front as $200.

The pricing page shows one Max plan and no separate Max 20x tier. It does not say what happens to existing Max 20x subscriptions.

Session and weekly limits by plan

The comparison table gives limits relative to Pro. Every 5 hours: Free is limited, Pro is 1x, Max is 5x and Ultra has no 5-hour limit. Every week: Pro is 1x, Max is 5x and Ultra is 10x. The FAQ adds that Pro gives at least 5x more usage per 5-hour session than Free.

The page says how fast you reach a limit depends on the model you use, how long your chats are and how large your files are. Anthropic also says it may limit usage in other ways, such as weekly and monthly caps, at its discretion.

Fable access and monthly API credits

Fable is included on Max and Ultra for up to half your weekly limit. The table lists it as 50% of weekly limits on both plans. On Pro, Fable is paid with usage credits. Free has no Fable access. On Team, Fable is listed at 50% of weekly limits on premium seats.

Monthly API credits are $100 on Max and $200 on Ultra. Free and Pro get none. Team plans list up to $500 per month in pooled API credits.

What it means for your usage and bill

Claude on web, desktop and mobile, plus Claude Code, all draw from the same pool. Coding sessions therefore count against the same 5-hour and weekly limits as chats. For a verified Ultra account, the page lists no 5-hour limit, only the weekly limit at 10x Pro.

On Max and Ultra, Fable is included up to half your weekly limit. On Pro, Fable is paid with usage credits, and the FAQ says usage credits let you keep working at standard API rates.

When you hit a limit, you can wait for the reset, move to a higher plan or turn on usage credits. Upgrades take effect right away, and unused time on your current plan is credited toward the new one. The FAQ says you can check where you stand anytime on the Usage page in Claude's Settings.
